If any of you read The Star yesterday, Pak Lah did mention about his dissatisfaction over the telecommunication services in d country currently. It is not covered widely and lots of disruptions occur unnecessarily. This is d article

PM disappointed with telcos over poor service

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has expressed disappointment with the telecommunications companies in the country for failing to provide good coverage and service to the people.
Urging the telcos to take seriously the government’s programmes on developing a good telecommunications system in the country, he said these companies had not been responding quickly enough to these plans.
He said some areas of the country were developed, but yet cellphone users experienced frequent breakdowns, such as dropped calls.
“Our country is a modern nation, it is not underdeveloped and should not face such disruptions and breakdowns,” he noted, adding that the cooperation from the telcos had been slacking.
“The phone system is not 100% good. It has to be perfect, that is what the Government wants.”
Speaking to reporters after visiting the Energy, Water and Communications Ministry here yesterday, Abdullah said taking care of the people’s welfare was of utmost importance, and remedial action had to be taken quickly.
In today UTUSAN, TM response back by indicating it is geographically impossible to cover the whole nation.. It really makes me wondering, is that a true reason?? Can it be a reason at all since nowadays; technologically, communication can be of any means ranging from fixed line to mobile satellite? There must be an underlying reason which I think the most appropriate one is the cost/ROI. Whuteve it is, TM and other Telcos must put their best effort to comply to this instruction as quickly as possible. We’ve about 14 mere years to be rated as a developed country.

One of d column in Berita Harian today really caught my eyes.. have you ever heard of ‘mishar’ marriage?? It has a similar nature wif Mutaah marriage but with no periodic agreement. Prof Dr Yusof Qardhawi already come out wif d fatwa to allow such practice in d Arabic country since most of d career-savvy woman really not interested to be involve in d real relationship but in need of a heir to inherit their wealth… the writer also assume dat the fatwa is based on d ‘for d greater good’ method where instead of them having illegitimate relationship, it is better to be in d halal relationship even though the practice might not be d same…. Forgot to mention, in dis kind of marriage, men dun have to be accountable for nafkah… urmmm.. when is it gonna be implemented in Malaysia?? Then, I might have a chance to end up my bachelor years….:) Last but not least.. this is d wedding invitation from my partner in crime, Saeed (please refer to my fotopage for detail)… please, anybody anywhere anyhow please join this matrimonial which will took place in Skudai… huhuh.. when is it gonna be my card
